Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos chose not to renew his contract and signed for PSG on a two years contract until 2023. He would be receiving $8.8m per year.

Thiago Silva was former PSG captain who joined Chelsea last year on an initial 1year contract and it was extended by another one year on a salary of $7.5m after winning the Champions League with former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel who joined the club in January.

In terms of salary, Sergio Ramos receives more salary at PSG than Thiago Silva receives at Chelsea despite the two experienced defenders being the same age at 36 years, but how does their net worths compare.

Thiago Silva's net worth is $142m majorly from salaries and endorsements since he came to Europe over 15years ago and has played for top clubs AC Milan and PSG before joining Chelsea. PSG signed him in 2012 and made him the most expensive defender at that time for $33m.

Sergio Ramos's net worth is $168m that he has accumulated in his professional career from salaries, endorsements and investments. He began his career at Sevilla before joining Real Madrid in 2005 where he became one of the best defenders of his generation.

Sergio Ramos collects more salary than Thiago Silva and has more money as net worth rightly so by the level of success they have achieved in their respective careers.
