Ansu Fati is not Lionel Messi. If you ask me, he'll never be. But that's not wrong: Messi is arguably the best player of all-time. Ansu Fati is a very good player and has the potential to be one of the best players of the next two decades. But it's unfair to spect from him what Messi has given us during the last fifteen years.

Although Messi can player a lot better than he did today -and a lot better than what he has shown last season- is clear that he can't take Barcelona to the top of the Champions League himself anymore. In addition, Messi isn't a Cristiano Ronaldo kind of player, who pull a whole team by himself.

Messi has always been better surrounded by good players because he makes other players better. He has been doing that since he was 19. Cristiano Ronaldo, on the contrary, is learning to be a more cerebral player at 35 years old. But right now the only player that Messi has at hand to mix with is Ansu Fati.

Fati has the energy, the talent and the intelligence to win games by himself. But it's unfair to put all the pressure on the soulders of a 17 years-old player. Moreover, it wouldn't be smart from Barcelona to force so much the player that will guide as for the next decade -if he doesn't leave before-. At the same time, is hard to put the pressure on the shoulders of a player who clearly said that he wants out. Yeah, i'm talking about Messi. Barcelona needs one more superstar, neither Messi stays or not. Ansu Fati is young. And he is not Messi.
