FC Barcelona beat Juventus 2-0 at Juventus Arena in Turin for the first time. Moreover, FC Barcelona played a taught game very well for the first time in months, and why not, in years. Specially, Lionel Messi shined and seemed confortable in the squad. Did Josep María Bartomeu's resignation had something to do with that? Sure. But there are more motives.

Not Gerard Piqué neither Sergio Busquets played as starters. The center-back had to go to a one game suspension, while the midfielder stayed at the bench and got into the field in the second half. Their spots were occupied by Bosnian Miroslam Pjanic and by Uruguayan Ronald Araujo.

By placing Pjanic, one of the top reinforcements of Barcelona for this season, together with Frenkie de Jong at the midfield the Catalan team seemed much more dynamic and fast. Also, transitions seemed faster and more dangerous. And the assists to the wingers Lionel Messi and Ousmané Dembélé were much more accurate.

Moreover, when Ronald Araujo got injured at the end of the second half and had to be replaced by Sergio Busquets, who attended the midfield and sent De Jong to the backfield, FC Barcelona lost some of their accuracy and rhythm. Araujo's injury seems nothing serious. If that is the case, then Koeman should keep on this pace and relegates Piqué and Busquets to the bench definitely, at least for now.
