Mauricio Pochettino will soon be announced as the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain to start a new era at the club. The manager was chosen to replace Thomas Tuchel, fired after many years in which he gained titles, but he couldn’t achieve the Champions League.

The arrival of Poche means the start of a new project in which the Parisian side will try to earn the most important award in Europe. With him, there will be some players arriving and some other leaving. The discussion for the signings has already started with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

One of those players who was near to be axed and will now stay at PSG is Ángel Di María. The Argentine, close friend of Lionel Messi, wasn’t happy with Tuchel and was thinking on moving to another club as his contract lasted until June 2021, which means that he could negotiate as a free agent.

But after knowing that Pochettino arrives, Fideo, as he is known, considered that staying was his better choice. Di María plays for PSG since August 2015, when the club paid $65 million to Manchester United for him. Since then, he scored 86 goals and gave 101 assists on 238 matches played. Previously in his career, he played also for Rosario Central former side, Real Madrid and Benfica.
