An almost impossible dream: Mbappé offered a way to renew with PSG

The days of uncertainty continue in the Parc des Princes, waiting for Kylian Mbappé to return from vacation and sit down to resolve his future with Paris Saint Germain. The information that comes from the French press indicates that the player has already communicated that he will not extend his link and will leave for free the next year.

However, a new proposal emerged from the environment of the forward himself. According to information from the newspaper ‘Marca’, Mbappé would be willing to renew his contract with PSG in exchange for a clause that frees him in the event that another club arrives, especially Real Madrid.

Nevertheless, the French club has rejected her, waiting for her to continue in France. Mbappé does not want to go through the false door of what he considers his home and wants to repay in some way the 180 million euros that they paid for him to Monaco in 2017, although this dream of Kylian finds more than one obstacle on the part of the leaders from the club.

In the first place, and if PSG were to change its position, it could not happen from the legal point of view, since in French football the release clauses are prohibited according to article 202 of the French Professional Football League. In fact, if it appears in any of the contracts, Ligue 1 declares it void to play in its competition.

Thus, the only possible way to fulfill Mbappé's dream would be a private agreement between the player and the club, an option that PSG considers too risky, with Florentino Pérez doing everything possible to make him wear white.

For now, then, the Parisian team has decided not to accept that offer from the player, although they are aware that they run the serious risk that the situation with their star will become permanently enraged and may leave at zero cost the next year.
