It’s no lie to say that Hugo Sánchez is one of the best players Mexico has ever had, especially after winning 5 times the golden boot in La Liga, which made him a worldwide known player, although he didn’t have success with Mexico National Team, neither as a player nor as coach.

And that has stuck with him even after retiring from the pitches, as he claimed that he would have won a World Cup if he had played for any other country than Mexico. Although it earned him backlash in social media, the truth is that Sánchez couldn’t stand out with El Tri.
