Ajax is known for being the cradle of great players throughout its history. Many of the best players on the Dutch national team have come out of Ajax. Edson Alvarez is the only Mexican who currently plays there and in the last few hours concern has grown that a partner and friend of his would be involved in a conflict that could land him in jail.

Quincy Promes out there may not be known to many, but he is a very important player in Dutch football. Promes played more than 40 games for the Dutch national team and is one of Ajax's most important players. In the last hours he has been accused of stabbing a person for which he will be detained for several days.

Police detained Quincy Promes in the last hours for an incident that occurred in July of this year. Promes is accused of having stabbed a person during a party and could spend up to 4 years in jail if it is confirmed that he was the one who hurt and stabbed him. Promes is being held until it is resolved whether he was involved or not.

Ajax for the moment has not issued any statement but has said that the player did not show up to train and that he will be isolated until the fact is qualified. Edson Alvarez and the entire Ajax team are surely very concerned about what will happen to Quincy Promes.
