Manchester United signed Dutch midfielder Donny Van de Beek from Ajax in 2020 for £40m but the midfielder has suffered terribly at the club and has played a part in very minimal games at the club since he joined. The player grew frustrated with his lack of playing time and sought for an exit last season but it was blocked.

Premier League club Everton were interested in signing him on loan in the summer but the deal collapsed on transfer deadline day after Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blocked the deal forcing the midfield to stay and continue sitting on the bench.

His agent spoke up after the deal collapsed. He said the club never told them why it failed to happen. Everton however were believed to retain their interest in the 24year old midfielder after the transfer window closed, but recent reports coming out of the British media says Everton are no longer interested and have turned attention towards Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.

Cristiano Ronaldo is having a good individual start to his second Manchester United spell. He has scored five goals in six games, including a match winner against Villarreal in the Champions League, though the club's last six games record is not good enough.
