Barcelona seems to have found a way out of their Samuel Umtiti conundrum. Italian club, AC Milan are interested in the France defender and they would be willing to take on the player by January. This would put an end to what has been a dirty and public divorce between club and player.

When the realities of the financial crisis at Barcelona hit, big earners at the club were asked to take pay cuts in exchange for possibly longer contract terms. The likes of Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto took pay cuts as the club scrambled to comply with La Liga's salary cap.

However, World Cup winning defender, Samuel Umtiti refused to take a pay cut amidst fears already that the club were looking at offloading him. With this, development, Umtiti fully fell into the category of players that the club said it's either they took pay cuts or they left the club. But Barcelona has been unsuccessful in moving the player on.

After several unsuccessful attempts and bids from clubs in the Ligue 1 the Bundesliga, there seems to be a solution. Italian giants, AC Milan are willing to take on the player along with his huge £212,000 weekly salary. The player is expected to leave as a free agent as Barcelona would release him from his contract to make the move happen. This would make the deal cheaper for AC Milan as they would only pay wages and no transfer fees.
