In the last games of the Premiere League there have been different controversial plays in terms of handsball law within the area. Today the regulation says that every hand within the area must be considered penal, being very unfair for the players. Mourinho and Tottenham were one of the teams harmed by this decision.

With the implementation of the VAR, referees have greater flexibility to make mistakes, but at the same time they are more exposed when they make mistakes. Many referees spoke in favor of the rule of the hand inside the area but many others believe that it is destroying the naturalness of soccer.

There are situations in the game where reaching out to avoid touching the ball with that part of the game becomes impossible and today the referees must sanction it. Many coaches and commentators, including great figures such as Lampard, Mourinho, Roy Keane or Klopp, asked for this situation to be reviewed as they do not agree that every hand in the area is penal.

The VAR came to football to stop with the fixing of matches and give the referees greater peace of mind, but today it brings more controversy than certainties since the cameras often violate what happens in reality. More and more people wonder if the VAR is not killing the essence of soccer.
