Emerging from Juventus, Paolo Rossi made his football debut at age 16 in Como, also from northern Italy. Later he was transferred to Vicenza, where he spent three seasons (from 1977 to 1979) always being a scorer. After a year at Perugia in 1979-80 he is suspended in a case where the Lazio and AC Milan clubs are relegated for fixing matches.

He returned to Juventus in 1982 only to train and prepare for the World Cup, where he would shine and shout champion, already qualified to play. After the World Cup, Rossi has already signed for Juve and has been winning everything for three years: Scudettos, Italian Cup, UEFA Cup and the Champions League.
