Brazil is one of the countries where the coronavirus is causing a large number of patients and also deaths. Day by day a new record's set in both areas. And in that sense, in the last hours it became known that Brazilian Luis Fabiano, who played for Sao Paulo, Porto and Sevilla, among others, is admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo after contracting COVID-19, reported this Wednesday his press team.

The former international striker with Canarinha, 40 years old and who has not played an official match since 2018, is "under observation", although, according to his advisers on social networks, he feels "good" and his health is "stable ". "The attacker tested positive for COVID-19 last week, but he is fine at the moment", added his press office.

In recent days, Luis Fabiano presented "symptoms related to the disease" and the doctor accompanying his situation then recommended that he go to the hospital for a "closer follow-up". In it, it was found that he was positive for the disease that is causing a pandemic a year ago and he was admitted until he recovers.

The president of Sao Paulo, Julio Casares, wished his "friend of him" Luis Fabiano a speedy recovery. "When this tragic moment passes, we will bid you farewell with a full Morumbí. We are together! Always! Strength!", said the leader of the Sao Paulo Tricolor club.
