Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martinez has been a crucial player for Aston Villa and the Argentina national team. Martinez has been dubbed as one of the best keepers in the world, especially after the 2022 World Cup, which he won, and also the Copa America in 2021. With the 2024 Copa America around the corner, the goalkeeper managed to build an incredible videogame set that is worth a lot. Since he lives in Birmingham, England, the Argentine star had a new videogame set built for him in his home, which is for many racing games. The gaming set is called the SimSpirit, and it makes the racing game experience unique for Martinez. Most of these sets cost around $500-$600, but with the personalized edition for Martinez, it could be higher than $1,000. It includes three screens and a customized seat with Martinez’s name on it and the iconic save against France.
Martinez is a big F1 fan, and the Argentine was thrilled to see his new gaming set, which will stay at his home in Birmingham. The goalkeeper plays a lot of video games in regard to motor racing, and now he will experience the game to a whole other level with the SimSpirit. No price has been revealed for the set, but it has been made available to other motor racing fans.
The Argentine’s season with Aston Villa is almost over after his team drew 3-3 against Liverpool at Villa Park. Martinez scored a horrific own goal in the first two minutes of the match. A cross was sent into the box, but Martinez arrived at the ball to catch it. The Argentine keeper couldn’t hold onto the ball, and his hand pushed the ball into the net to give Liverpool the lead. Liverpool was close to taking all three points as they were leading 3-1 in the second half, but a late brace by Jhon Duran saved Villa a point in the end.
Martinez and Aston Villa have played their 37th Premier League game this season. Their last game of the season is this weekend against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Villa has qualified for the Champions League as they sit 4th in the Premier League with 68 points. Martinez will then go to the Argentina camp to prepare for the upcoming Copa America tournament, which starts June 20th, for the current World Champions against Canada.
