Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team are ready for Copa America, and the tournament starts in a few days. Messi played in two friendly matches this past week in preparation for the tournament, and while he was gone, his family was going on vacation. Messi was playing in Maryland a couple of days ago, but his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and his children were at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Antonela posted pictures of her and her children at Disney, and the four looked to enjoy their time there. The boys are continuing to play for the Inter Miami academy, but Messi’s wife decided to take them to Disney for a fun day out. Thiago Messi was there recently as well but for games played with the Inter Miami academy as there was a tournament held by La Liga at a special pitch.

Thiago Messi and the Inter Miami academy played in the La Liga FC Futures tournament a few days ago at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. His team drew 0-0 against Real Sociedad’s youth team but lost 5-0 against FC Barcelona’s youth team, which led to their elimination. Thiago Messi plays with Luis Suarez’s son, Benjamin Suarez, in the same team as well. That was the same day Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team defeated Guatemala 4-1 in a friendly match.

Lionel Messi scored a brace in the 4-1 win against Guatemala a few days ago as it was the final preparation match ahead of Copa America. Messi scored one of the easiest goals of his career in the 12th minute of the match as he was gifted the ball by the keeper. In the 77th minute, Messi chipped the keeper after receiving a perfect pass from Angel Di Maria. He provided an assist as well in the 66th minute for Lautaro Martinez, who also scored a brace.

Argentina’s group in Copa America

Argentina will be playing Group A in Copa America 2024 USA. They are the defending champions after winning it in 2021. The first game of the tournament will feature Argentina this Thursday as they take on Canada at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The other two opponents are Chile and Peru.
