The Mexican National Soccer Team is preparing for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. There will be 14 matches that will define the qualification to the highest national team tournament. For the time being, it is already known that the national team will play three home games between September and October; the first of them will be against Jamaica.

The team coached by Gerardo Martino will play eight matches in the remainder of 2021 and another six matches in 2022. CONCACAF will have a place for three teams and a half-pass in which the nation that comes in fourth place in the qualifiers will have to play a playoff. The first qualifier is Qatar, a privilege given to host countries for hosting a national team tournament. The national teams will start the dispute for tickets from September onwards.

The confederation entitled to take the most affiliates is UEFA, with 13 tickets, the Confederation of African Football with five places, CONMEBOL with four and a half places, the Asian Football Confederation with four and a half seats, and CONCACAF with three and a half tickets. The only organization that does not have a safe place is the Oceania Confederation, as it only has half a ticket to get a place in the World Cup, which it will have to obtain through a playoff.
