When Santiago Solari arrived in America, he had two main objectives: to take Las Águilas to the top of the Liga MX and also to be able to return to Europe in a short period of time to continue his career. And this Thursday he confirmed that his stay for the Mexican club has an expiration date.
"I still have two years left on my contract, then I would like to return to Europe. Madrid is my home, and I spent three wonderful years at Inter, a club that brings back passionate memories. Growth must continue in Europe. Personally I dream of Italy where I learned to appreciate the peculiarity of football and I would like to experience it from the bench, it would be a growth process that I consider fundamental", said the coach in an interview with Gazzeta Dello Sport from Italy.
Carlo Angelotti's return to Real Madrid
El Indiecito, who worked as a coach in the Real Madrid quarry until he reached the first team, which he directed from October 2018 to March 2019 and had to go due to very weak results and due to expectations, sees positively the return of Carlo Ancelotti to the Madrid bench.
"Carlo Ancelotti is in the heart of all Madridistas, he's part of our history. With him we conquered the desired Tenth Champions League after two years of waiting and we opened a winning cycle," he recalled.
"It was the second great historical stage after the five consecutive European Cups in the 1950s. His return did not surprise me. On the contrary, as a Real Madrid player it seemed like a natural and logical decision," he concluded.
