Gerardo Martino already has in his sights the new faces of the Mexican national team for the 2021

After finishing undefeated in all the matches played in 2020 and with a very positive closing in the friendlies against South Korea and Japan, the coach of the national team Gerardo Martino is already planning his ideal team little by little to start the road towards the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

In order to start the search for this great task, the Argentine coach plans to incorporate more youth to the team and thus shape the generational change that he proposed since his arrival, but also the generational change will serve to create a base thinking about the 2026 World Cup event between USA, Mexico and Canada. Due to this, Martino has already fixed his interest in the minor categories of Mexico such as the Sub 17 and Sub 20, becoming interested in some players who are going strong in Europe, but also in others who already had their first experience in the National Team.
