Orlando to host final home Concacaf World Cup Qualifier
After confirming the USMNT's return to Orlando, coach Gregg Berhalter called the venue one of the most advantageous for the Stars and Stripes to play at home.
“We are excited to be back at Exploria Stadium,” Berhalter said. “This city and these fans have been a huge advantage to us throughout the years. In our last home game of the Octagonal we look forward to another special night of soccer.”
The matches Orlando hosted for the USMNT ended in victory. In 2018, also in a World Cup qualifier for Russia, the Stars and Stripes crushed Panama 4-0. Then, in 2019, Berhalter's squad won for the CONCACAF Nations League 4-1 over Canada and in a friendly match in 2021 beat Trinidad and Tobago, the final score an impressive 7-0.
