Hirving Lozano might leave Napoli thanks to David Beckham

Hirving Lozano has become one of the best Mexican players in Europe, alongside Raúl Jiménez and Edson Álvarez. His performances with Napoli have earned him praise of the international press and has been linked to multiple teams outside Italy.

But since his arrival in 2019 in Serie A, Lozano has stated that the only way he plans to leave the Azzurri is to go to a better team, which there’s a few around the world that can say that, although rumors grow stronger by the day placing him in La Liga for next season.

In the past couple transfer windows, his name has been placed in the radar of both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, given that he would fit perfectly in the system established by Xavi in Barcelona, but he’s also close to Carlo Ancelotti, who requested his addition to Napoli when he was coaching the Azzurri.

But in recent days, his named has been linked to Atlético Madrid, especially as Luis Suárez most likely will leave Los Colchoneros at the end of the season, as MLS side Inter Miami CF, David Beckham’s team, is trying to acquire him for the 2022 MLS Season, which will open the door for Lozano’s arrival in Atlético.

Diego “Cholo” Simeone hasn’t hide the admiration he feels towards “Chucky” Lozano, and he even tried to negotiate his arrival in Atlético Madrid on the past winter transfer window, although the price set by the Azzurri stopped the negotiations.

“Chucky” Lozano arrived in Napoli in 2019 out of PSV Eindhoven on a $55 million transfer. In the three seasons he’s played for the Azzurri, Lozano has played a total of 106 games, where he’s scored 25 goals and has assisted 10 times.
