Karma got Italy National Team after they decided to play with three Brazilian players

Little did it matter that Italy is the reigning EURO champion, as they weren’t able to beat at home a national team that has never played in a World Cup, and now will have to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup on the TV.

But for Lorenzo Insigne, the fact that Italy plays in the World Cup or not takes a second place on his mind, as his head has been thinking of the multimillion-dollar contract he signed in January to arrive in MLS side Toronto FC once the 2021-22 season is over.

The 30-year-old left-winger has scored just three goals since agreeing to leave SSC Napoli at the end of the season, and the same mindset that has kept him unfocused in Serie A followed him to Italy National Team, where he couldn’t help the Azzurra and had to be subbed after 64 minutes.

How much will he earn in Toronto FC?

The arrival of Insigne to the MLS was the biggest deal in the history of American soccer, as he’s one of the best players in Serie A and was a protagonist in the pursue of the EURO last year. His departure of Italian Calcio was also a surprise, given that Napoli is the only team he has played for.

“Il Capitanno” signed a 4-year contract which ties him to Toronto until 2026, and according to reports, he’ll earn $15 million per season, placing him as the highest-paid player in the MLS, not only for the season but in history.
