Erik Ten Hag has been one of the most criticized coaches in recent weeks. The Dutchman has not combined his attractive playing style at Ajax with Manchester United, but he is still achieving important results in the Premier League. Many have been carried away by the disaster that he has been in the Champions League, where curiously he still has a chance to qualify.

Figures like Neville and Scholes have been critical of the coach, but now, he teaches them an important lesson and in the Premier League they recognize him as the best coach of the year. United won their three November games, against Fulham, Luton Town and Everton, without conceding a single goal, which, together with November's results, has allowed them to come within three points of the Champions League places.

It is the third time that Ten Hag has won this award, after September 2022 and February 2023 and only Alex Ferguson, who has won this award 27 times, has won it more times at Manchester United. Ten Hag won the votes, made up of a panel of experts plus the votes of the fans, over Rob Edwards, from Luton Town, Eddie Howe, from Newcastle United, and Andoni Iralona, from Bournemouth.

Ten Hag is the coach most talked about in the English press

What must sting, and a lot, is that Erik ten Hag, who is in the press's spotlight all day, to such an extent that the club banned four important media outlets from entering the press room, has been awarded as the Best Trainer of November. Evidently on merit, Manchester United won their three games against Fulham (0-1), Luton Town (1-0) and Everton (0-3).
