To bolster their midfield, Liverpool has struck a deal with Brighton Albion's key player, Alexis Mac Allister, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. With Mac Allister joining the team for the upcoming season, alongside the formidable midfield duo of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Liverpool's midfield prospects appear promising.

Liverpool has had a disappointing season, accumulating only 66 points. However, they still have a chance to secure a spot in the UEFA Europa League on the final matchday. Unfortunately, they were eliminated and faced humiliation in the round of 16 by Real Madrid.

Furthermore, Liverpool is actively seeking reinforcements during this summer transfer window, particularly in midfield. Four influential players, namely Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are set to depart as their contracts come to an end. In recognition of their contributions, they will be honored at Anfield this weekend.

‘The Colo’ as Mac Allister is commonly known, has made significant contributions to Brighton Albion this season, featuring in 33 games, scoring 10 goals, and providing 8 assists. He recently played a pivotal role in their victory against Southampton, contributing 1 assist, while his last goal came against Everton. His performances were crucial in securing Brighton's qualification for the UEFA Europa League next season.

Although Mac Allister's arrival will undoubtedly strengthen the team, his salary is not on par with the Premier League's star players, specifically Mohamed Salah, the standout winger. According to fichajes.com, Salah receives an annual salary of 18 million pounds, making him the highest-paid player at Liverpool.

Regarding Mac Allister's salary.

Jurgen Klopp doesn't have any hesitation when it comes to discussing salary negotiations, as the team has made a substantial offer to the Argentine player. In fact, they have proposed a salary that is three times higher than his current earnings. To put it in perspective, Mac Allister currently earns 50,000 pounds per week at Brighton, while with his new team, he will receive an impressive 150,000 pounds per week, as reported by Football Insider. This significant increase in salary demonstrates the value and confidence Liverpool has in securing his services for the upcoming season.
