Manchester United is beginning to plan in detail what's coming for next season. The English team placed itself significantly in the last transfer market, and they are beginning to look for a way to right the course this season. With this, the Old Trafford team is now interested in an important Portuguese talent, who coincidentally arrives from the same place where Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes were signed.

Sporting CP defender Gonçalo Inácio remains linked with a move to the Premier League. Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool remain interested in him and are now set to scout the defender this weekend. A report from Correio da Manha claims that the two English clubs will send representatives to Lisbon to watch the 22-year-old defender play against Benfica.

The Portuguese international defender has established himself as a key player for Sporting CP and his performances have attracted a lot of attention. The defender has a release clause of €60 million in his contract and it remains to be seen if Liverpool and Manchester United are willing to pay that amount of money for him.

Liverpool are the favorites to sign Inacio

It's no secret that Liverpool need to sign a quality central defender and someone like Inácio would be the perfect acquisition for them. The 22-year-old is versatile enough to act as both a left central defender and a full-back. His arrival will allow Liverpool to operate in both a back four and a back three. On top of that, he could also be a useful alternative to Andrew Robertson.
