The young Englishman has been in the youth team since the under-9 level. Manchester City is already classified for the round of 16 of the Champions League, with hopes of confirming its title, so Pep Guardiola decided to make rotations on the last day. All footballers dream of one day playing in the Champions League and scoring a goal on their debut. Well, imagine doing it at 20 years old and on the team of your life.

That's exactly what happened to Micah Hamilton in Zvezda vs Manchester City this Wednesday. Born in Manchester and in the lower categories of the citizen club from under 9 - the Englishman made his debut in a big way. He received on the side of the area, took a dribble and finished with a whip into the corner of the short post that was unreachable for Omri Glazer.

City has the Club World Cup just around the corner, and along with the need to regain the lead in the Premier League, Guardiola started with a substitute eleven and the surprise of making his professional debut for 20-year-old midfielder, Micah Hamilton, who had only played matches in the England Youth League.

With some Sky Blues already classified, Pep accompanied Hamilton with the Norwegian forward Oscar Bobb and the right back Rico Lewis. Both players have already played minutes in the Premier League and Champions League in previous matches. Hamilton took advantage of the opportunity given by Pep and in the 19th minute of the first half, he overwhelmed the Red Star defense to score his first goal as a professional player, joining the stories of Liam Delap, Phil Foden and Cole Plamer, youth players of the citizens.

The moment of the match

Although he was already called up to the Manchester City bench, Hamilton had never played a minute in Guardiola's team, giving a great start to his professional career with a historic milestone. Red Star is already eliminated from the competition and Manchester City is already first, so Guardiola has given many unusual players the opportunity to play. Micah Hamilton has always stood out in youth football and it is expected that little by little he will have opportunities in the elite.
