Mohamed Salah is one of the most important footballers of the moment. The Egyptian forward is firmly positioned as one of the footballers who is achieving impressive records with his team and the theory that he was a one season wonder is long gone, because he has been Liverpool's top scorer for more than 5 years and a new record is proof of this.

Mohamed Salah reached 200 goals for Liverpool on Saturday as Jürgen Klopp's team came from behind to beat 10-man Crystal Palace 2-1 in the Premier League. But it was substitute Harvey Elliott who fired the long-range winner in the 91st minute at Selhurst Park to put the club provisionally top of the table.

With his goal on Matchday 16 of the English league, the Reds forward became the fifth player in the club's history to reach 200 goals. He will now need 50 goals to enter the top three and 150 more to be the top scorer in Liverpool's history. Ian Rush remains the player with the most goals in the history of the English team, with 346 goals in 15 seasons played, being the only player with more than 300 goals. Roger Hunt (285), Gordon Hudgson (241) and Billy Liddell (228) are the other four footballers on the list.

Salah among Premier League legends

Mohamed's goal not only helped him reach 200 with Liverpool, but also reached the mark of 150 goals in the League. The striker has reached this figure in the fifth fewest appearances (247) only behind the likes of Alan Shearer (212), Sergio Agüero (217), Harry Kane (218) and Thierry Henry (220).
