Manchester United is beginning to shape its next project. For the moment, the Old Trafford side has confirmed the departure of four players: defenders Phil Jones, Di'Shon Bernard and Axel Tuanzebe, and midfielder Ethan Galbraith.

"As announced last month, center-back Phil Jones is leaving after 12 years and 229 appearances for United. Axel Tuanzebe leaves after 37 first-team appearances, having captained the Reds at every level since joining the Academy at the age of eight. Ethan Galbraith and Di'Shon Bernard will seek new opportunities elsewhere after loan spells at Salford City and Portsmouth, respectively," the statement issued by the club relates.

In addition, the club has also made it clear that it is negotiating the continuity of its first-choice goalkeeper, Toledo-born David de Gea. "In terms of the goalkeeping department, discussions remain open with David De Gea over a possible new contract, while Tom Heaton and Nathan Bishop have received extensions to their deals," it explains.

What news for De Gea from United?

The Dutch coach has established that they need competition for next season. Given this, one of the priorities is to buy a new goalkeeper. In this, they expect the arrival of elements such as Andre Onana, who has an offer from the club.
