Bernardo Silva arrives unexpectedly this summer and his future with Manchester City is not yet known. The team does not want to part with the player, but understands that his desire could be to leave England. In view of this, the Portuguese's request to his possible new club is revealed. All just a few days before the start of pre-season.

The fact that Bernardo Silva is a galactic value operation does not come as a surprise to Barcelona, far from it. His 80 million euro market value would not be accompanied by a player with an affordable salary and, indeed, they did not.

Diario Marca reports that, if Bernardo Silva is signed by FC Barcelona, the club would have to pay the player around 35 million euros per year! Just as you read, a sum that the club can hardly afford in the delicate situation it finds itself in.

The salary bill is compromised

Needless to say, if Laporta wants to sign Bernardo Silva, he will have to free up a large part of the wage bill. To do so, some players will have to be released, but despite this, the president of FC Barcelona is not backing down on the Silva operation and will do everything in his power to bring him in.
