This will be the new stadium that Manchester City will have for the 2025/26 season
Manchester City is already giving important news to its fans about one of the most ambitious projects the club has had in recent years. The citizen team has everything approved to carry out the remodeling of the Etihad Stadium, whose reopening is scheduled for 2025.
According to Manchester City's official statement, the approved proposals include several all-weather connected facilities, fully integrated into the stadium. They will center around an expanded North Stand with a single larger upper tier over the existing lower tier, increasing capacity to over 60,000 spectators.
In City Square there will be a fan zone for 3,000 people that will include various food and drink venues, a new official store, a museum and a 400-bed hotel. Major construction work is anticipated to start on the site in November 2023, which will mean that the North Stand will be complete and open for the 2025/26 football season.
How much will it cost the club to carry out this work?
At an economic level, this work would require an investment of more than 300 million dollars and would take about three years to be completed. It will also represent for the city a source of work for 2600 people. In short, extremely positive news for the financial interests of the club, as well as for the experience of the fans.
