Manchester United achieved a substantial victory in the match against Fulham that leaves them significantly in the standings. The Red Devil team had just lost in the Manchester Derby by a painful score of 3-0. However, things in this match were improving significantly and with a goal almost in the last minute by Bruno Fernandes it was enough to win the match.

Fernandes capitalized on a missed clearance by fellow Portuguese João Palhinha with a low shot from the edge of the area in the opening seconds of added time at Craven Cottage. United bounced back from back-to-back 3-0 defeats to Manchester United and Newcastle in the last week that left Ten Hag in one of the biggest crises since he took the reins in the summer of 2022.

That day, after the match, reports emerged that the England international, who turned 26 on Tuesday, had partied at a nightclub in Manchester. The previously organized birthday party took place hours after the defeat at Old Trafford in the English League. Rashford scored 30 goals last season for United.

Did Bruno Fernandes save Ten Hag?

Fernandes' goal, when 0-0 seemed the fairest result, does not hide, however, the gloomy image that the 'Red Devils' team gave and that was saved, until the Portuguese player's goal, by the stops of André Onana, who is righting his path at the club. Despite the visiting fans displaying a banner that read “Play like you mean it”, United went out as usual: not having a clear idea of the game, not knowing how to attack and being dominated by Fulham.
