Manchester United have not had the best season in their history. Erik ten Hag's side have certainly had their limitations and this has been a hindrance throughout the season. One of the things that has caused the most annoyance is that the coach is still in his position despite the poor results shown. It is worth mentioning that it seems that the board of directors is backing the Dutchman for the time being.

In the face of this, many fans are in favor and others are against. Truth be told, United have not had a long-term process since Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the team. After Ferguson's retirement, little priority has been given to the sport. Instead, The Glazers have taken advantage of the world-class team's status to bring in world-class players who are not suited to playing together

The most notorious case in this case is Manchester City. Before Pep Guardiola's arrival, the team was never able to achieve anything relevant outside of England even if they had the money they had. For this reason, Pep arrived to give order to a team that had the potential to become more. Furthermore, the goal was achieved last season with the obtaining of the treble.

At the same time, things are expected to continue to improve at Manchester United, especially from 2024 onwards. Given this, Erik ten Hag would already have a plan to make his team improve little by little.

Ten Hag's plan

According to journalist Jamie Jackson, Erik ten Hag plans to be more demanding in training for next season. Nevertheless, it seems that this plan would have started since the pre-season in order to make the team title contenders
