Manchester City does not want the treble to be a fluke. The English team has established itself in a great way for this season and does not want to lose its important elements for next summer. Now, it is surprising what a player who was one of Guardiola's great protégés would do.

According to Le Parisien on Monday, PSG have already set their sights on Bernardo Silva, one of Manchester City's stars and Pep Guardiola's favourite. Messi's departure will leave a huge void in the midfield, so the Portuguese midfielder would be the ideal replacement for him in that role. Not only that, but as has been seen at the Citizens, Silva can also play as a winger or false left-back - an idea implemented by Guardiola himself.

Luis Campos, PSG's sporting advisor, is convinced that Silva is the ideal element to complement the team's midfield. Although the negotiation would not be easy - FC Barcelona also want him and Manchester City would not be willing to let him go so easily -, the French capital side will insist on him when they make the first contact with Manchester City.

Can PSG buy Bernardo Silva?

The aforementioned French daily Le Parisien adds that Bernardo Silva would be happy to return to Ligue 1, where he played for AS Monaco and where he showed the world that he was one of Europe's most promising talents. He would also be reunited with Kylian Mbappé, a teammate of his in those days.
