Chelsea defeated Fulham today and breathes for the moment in the Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino's side found their best in time for Monday night's match against The Cottagers who were dominated by the Stamford Bridge outfit from start to finish. Despite local support at Craven Cottage, the home side could do little to recover.
With a visiting team fully motivated by victory in the Carabao Cup, Pochettino knew that getting the three points was now or never. For this reason, the team quickly positioned itself on the field. Mudryk's participation in the sides contributed to the team to give a sense of danger to the opposing team. With a first intervention of the Albanian Armando Broja, those of Stamford Bridge sent the first warning.
Subsequently, Mijailo Mudryk would receive the ball in the box and put the score in favor of Chelsea. Just a minute later, Broja's second would arrive. With two goals in advantage, the team went to the break hoping to summarize the next 45 minutes to continue growing on the scoreboard. However, Fulham positioned themselves in the defensive area and avoided more surprises tonight.
Despite the poor start to the season, the three points for Chelsea will help them position themselves in a more favourable position in the Premier League standings thus avoiding further relegation. It should be noted that the North London team was about to find themselves close to the relegation zone. It is worth mentioning that Chelsea came to have up to 11 absences so having a full team is a new beginning for the team
After today's victory, Chelsea gets its second win of the season, leaving behind a streak of three games without scoring a goal. Similarly, Mijailo Mudryk scored his first goal for Chelsea after failing to do so since joining the Blues since last year. This result benefits Chelsea and leaves them excited for what has been achieved. Definitely an important victory today.
