Manchester City and Liverpool FC want to compete in the Premier League again, but it is Klopp's side who are in a better position at the start of this season. Despite this, Guardiola's club still has its sights set on trying to defend his title again and to do so, they are preparing an important offer for a star of the English league. However, Jurgen Klopp has also requested this player for Liverpool.

According to Teamtalk, Manchester City and Liverpool are ready to enter a battle for midfielder Joao Palhinha, with reports indicating the Manchester club's interest in the Fulham player. The 28-year-old Portuguese midfielder is also on the agenda of other top clubs, including Bayern Munich. Fulham, meanwhile, have set a price of £60 million to sell the talented player.

Since his arrival at Fulham from Sporting CP last year for £20m, Joao Palhinha has emerged as one of the Premier League's best midfielders. With 56 games played, he has contributed with six goals and one assist, establishing himself as a key figure in both his club and the Portuguese national team.

Many clubs will look for Palinha for 2024

Although Bayern Munich tried to sign Palhinha in the summer market, the transfer did not materialize. Now, Manchester City are joining the competition, looking to strengthen their midfield in the January transfer window. Liverpool, on the other hand, have also expressed interest in the player, considering him a viable option to strengthen their midfield. Fulham have set a hefty £60m asking price for Joao Palhinha, reflecting his importance and outstanding performances in the Premier League.
