Manchester United has an unexpected future in mind for David De Gea. The English team has established itself in a great way for the next season to have internal competition in all its lines and the position of the Spanish goalkeeper is more threatened than ever.

Manchester United is forming a very exciting project and, if this season the team has experienced a remarkable improvement thanks to the contribution of Erik ten Hag, Casemiro, Raphael Varane or Bruno Fernandes, the idea of the club is to strengthen its bid to win all possible titles in the course 23/24.

United will return to the Champions League after a season away from this prestigious continental competition and therefore the board is accentuating its interest in two players who could land at Old Trafford to relegate David de Gea to the bench for the first time since the Spaniard arrived at the club: André Onana and Diogo Costa.

Will David De Gea not be the team's starter for next season?

Manchester United have Onana and Costa as two of their priorities to strengthen the project, being these two of the best goalkeepers of the last celebrated season, and their desire to make a leap in quality in their career suggests that the Cameroonian of Inter Milan or the Portuguese of Porto will be De Gea's competition in the 23/24 season.
