It has not been the most encouraging news for Kevin De Bruyne in this month of August. The Belgian player was injured in the first match of the Premier League, after a somewhat fortuitous action in which he had no choice but to ask for the change. As it happened in the last UEFA Champions League final.

24 minutes into the game against Burnley, De Bruyne was substituted due to injury. In the first game of the course, as happened in the one that closed the previous one, the Champions League final. The Belgian seemed frustrated and Pep Guardiola explained at a press conference that the injury is the same and that the midfielder will be out for "a while".

After this match for date 1 of the 2023-24 Premier League, Manchester City will play again next week when they face Sevilla for the European Super Cup. In this meeting, obviously Kevin De Bruyne will not be present, who will be unavailable for an amount of time that worries the fans of the citizen club.

What did Pep say about Haaland's injury?

“Unfortunately he is injured again. In the same area as in the Champions League final and he will be out for a while, ”the coach confessed. The Belgian is expected to be out of action for a while, but with market hours still alive, Manchester City could go out of emergency in search of a replacement for the footballer and club captain.
