Iikay Gundogan and FC Barcelona finally officialize their agreement for next season. The German player arrives to Xavi Hernandez's team and now, he establishes himself in a great way as a new player of the citizen team. In that sense, the German player has established himself in an important way towards the next season, but sends an unexpected message towards one of the great stars of Manchester City.

Now, he heads to Spain on a two-year contract for a new experience, despite Pep Guardiola wanting to keep 32-year-old Gundogan, the first signing of the City manager's era since 2016. "This club made me realize all my dreams and I will always be grateful for this opportunity," Gundogan said. "I will carry City always in my heart. Once blue, always blue."

Now, however, he is surprisingly sending a message to one of his former teammates. The German has been characterized by being a great leader on the field and in the dressing room and now, it is surprising what he says about one of his great friends at Manchester City, who captured the attention of different media in recent years.

What message does Gundogan send to one of his former teammates?

The German footballer sent a message to Jack Grealish, the extroverted English footballer who was a star at the UEFA Champions League celebrations with the Citizen team. Now, according to Gundogan and after the celebrations, he confesses that many misjudge the player. "He is one of the best guys I have met in my career. He is extremely funny and doesn't look it, but he is very humble and has a big heart. I'm happy for his success this season," he confessed in an interview with Players Tribune.
