Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp did not have the best September ever. The coaches had some difficult results in the Premier League and this meant that they were not eligible for the coach of the year award. However, the coach who did win it was Tottenham Hotspur, who has his club in first place in England, being one of the most important at the moment.

The Greek coach has become the first in history to win the award in the first two months in the Premier, after also winning the one in August. The last coach to win the first two awards of the season was the German Jürgen Klopp in 2019-2020, when Liverpool won the league for the first time in thirty years. It is expected that this Tottenham team will be able to put up a fight and provide more entertainment in the Premier League.

Postecoglou's Tottenham, current leaders of the competition, maintain their unbeaten status in the league after wins against Burnley, Sheffield United and Liverpool, and a draw against Arsenal in September. The Greek won the votes over Mikel Arteta, Unai Emery, Eddie Howe and Klopp. The reality is that the London team plays very well and it is a fact that they can become strong candidates to win the Premier League if they maintain the level they are having this season.

A player could leave Manchester City for Guardiola

According to ESPN, Kalvin Phillips is desperate to keep his place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2024 in Germany next summer and, although he has been selected for the matches against Australia and Italy during the October international break, manager Garath Southgate has informed him that his situation would improve if he played regularly. He has been linked with Bayern Munich, who failed to sign Fulham midfielder João Palhinha on deadline day.
