Manchester United is preparing to face a new season and for this they have tried to make two signings to try to compete in the next Premier League 23/24 with Manchester City, a rival that has dominated English football in recent years. However, one of the stars of the Red Devils already shares what has been the key to the citizens, which has failed them.

Marcus Rashford is one of the great realities of Manchester United. The England striker extended his contract until 2028 last week. The Red Devils striker has returned to his best with Erik ten Hag, whose appointment was instrumental in retaining the England international.

About Erik Ten Hag and the confidence he has given him, Rashford told The Guardian that he has been vital. Before Erik ten Hag came along, I might have given it some thought. Everything happens for a reason and he came to the club at the right time for me, I was not enjoying myself. Now I have more freedom to play." However, the player also acknowledged that the team is missing something to be able to emulate what Manchester City has achieved in the last five years.

What did Rashford say about Manchester City?

“We've shown in one-off games we can beat them and they've shown they can beat us. It's the consistency that sets them apart. Manchester City have shown a new level of consistency and it's up to the rest of us to try and close that gap," Rashford shared via Disco Mirror.
