Faced with this situation, the English club's board began to look for a variant and, as reported by 'Record', would have made an offer for Vitinha, a 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder who plays for Porto and has a clause of 40 million.

"There was a concrete offer of considerable value for Vitinha. We did not accept it and we refer to the termination clause, which is the only way to take the player away from us. If they come with one euro below Vitinha's termination clause, he won't leave," said Porto president Pinto Da Costa at a press conference.

Thus, it is confirmed that United wants to sign Vitinha, but has not yet been able to reach an agreement with the Portuguese club. Meanwhile, coach Erik ten Hag hopes that the board can agree on the arrival of a midfielder in this market.
