In one of the most even matches of all, Tottenham Hotspur fell to Chelsea FC by an unexpected score of 1-4 at home. Spurs came into this match as the possible leader of the Premier League, but a victory was essential because Manchester City did their thing against Bournemouth and was among the best places in the league. For this match, in a surprising way, Tottenham fell to Chelsea FC.

Tottenham and Chelsea faced off in one of the most attractive duels in the Premier League. The Spurs won 1-0 thanks to Dejan Kulusevski's goal and dangerous situations (and disallowed goals) followed one another on both sides. 27 minutes had passed when the VAR called to review an action in the area that involved two world champion players with the Argentine national team: Cristian Romero and Enzo Fernández.

The injuries and the expulsion of Cuti forced the Spurs coach, Angelos Postecoglou, to make three modifications in the first half, which suffered 12 minutes of extra time due to everything that surrounded the action in which Romero ended up going to the showers . Emerson, Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg entered the game, to try to fill the necessary gap.

Tottenham fought, but couldn't after the expulsions

The 10 men on the pitch could still sustain the result for Spurs, especially given how difficult it has been for Chelsea to score goals. However, Udogie saw the second yellow and left his team with nine. The Tottenham coach had to improvise and sent an offside line practically in the middle of the pitch. It worked because Chelsea fell into the trap more than five times and prevented the goals from falling, at least until the 75th minute.
