Alexis Mac Allister is finally a new Liverpool FC player. The Argentine player arrives from Brighton in exchange for 40 million euros after a formidable season and much of it is for his ability to play in different roles, as well as his quality. The same that was a key factor in the 2022 World Cup that the player won with Argentina.

However, surprisingly, the English club has given the player the number 10 shirt, something that few expected for a newcomer. The task that Sadio Mane did with that number was not an easy one. For this reason, different users on social networks are already starting to give the player new nicknames.

Mac Allister arrives from Brighton, a team where he spent three seasons and became a reference. He also managed to reach the semifinals of the FA Cup and put the team for the first time in history to a European competition. In addition to coming from winning a World Cup alongside Lionel Messi in December 2022.

Now the Argentine will remain at Liverpool until 2028 with the number 10, a number that Sadio Mané left vacant after leaving for Bayern Munich and that has been worn by Reds legends such as Luis Garcia, Philippe Coutinho or Michael Owen.

What is the new nickname given to the player?

According to several users on Twitter, the player could be the club's new Michael Robinson. One of the legends of the English team in the 80s, with whom they won a European Cup. In addition, the surname Mac Allister has Irish roots, Robinson's place of origin.
