Liverpool FC drew with Chelsea FC in the matchday one of the Premier League. The Anfield team started in an important way, but really failed to convince in the second half, where Pochettino's team certainly went from less to more.
Luis Díaz opened everything after a magnificent pass from Mohamed Salah. However, a few minutes later, the rookie Axel Disasi managed to equalize the duel at Stamford Bridge, unleashing madness in the club's fans. In the first half, both clubs had a goal disallowed. The first 45 minutes of many actions, at the best pace in the Premier League.
The second half began with local dominance but the first scare was for the 'blues'. At the exit of a corner, Szoboszlai's ball hit Nico Jackson's hand... but the referee did not signal anything at the request of the VAR. Chelsea responded by forcing Alisson to save the 2-1 with several saving hands.
The reality is that Liverpool FC needed a lot of deployment in the defensive part. Despite the good performance of his midfielders and forwards with options, Klopp's defense is not a guarantee and therefore it is difficult for the club to really aspire to great things if it does not immediately strengthen itself in defensive matters.
