What had been going on for several weeks is now a reality. Jordan Henderson is a new player for Al Ettifaq from Saudi Arabia. The Liverpool FC captain leaves Anfield after more than 14 years in the English team and leaves a total of 12 million euros in the club's coffers. This is another big hit by the Saudi Pro League this summer.

The Saudi league aspires to be on the world soccer map. Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Al-Nassr in December. Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Roberto Firmino followed in his footsteps this summer. Liverpool confirmed Henderson's transfer to Al-Ettifaq, noting that he "lifted eight trophies, save one, as club captain" during his 12-year spell at Anfield.

Given the news, various elements of the club did not hesitate to send their greetings to the now former club captain. Henderson closes a successful stage at Anfield Road and for this reason, the coach Jurgen Klopp did not hesitate to send the footballer a special video. Henderson won everything possible at club level with Liverpool, including the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier the following year.

What did Jurgen Klopp say about Jordan Henderson leaving?

We will miss you, you know. You will miss us, I know it," Klopp said in a video interview released by the club. “But that's life, nothing is eternal. It's just goodbye." Words that will be marked by the English player, who responded to him on Instagram with a "thank you coach". Both marked a very successful stage at Anfield.
