Manchester City plans to deliver one last blow in the transfer market. The citizen team have established themselves in an important way at the club and now, they could finally take on some surprising Premier League talent. According to Fabrizio Romano, Pep Guardiola wants Lucas Paqueta for Manchester City next season.

The Brazilian midfielder is a substantial element for West Ham, who has just sold Declan Rice and also arranged the arrival of Edson Alvarez at a much lower price. However, according to SKY, the hammers did not agree on the 70 million offered by the citizen board for the Brazilian player and their intention is clear. Either they pay the clause or nothing.

The "Hammers" forcefully rejected City's offer since they cling to the Paquetá clause, which is 100 million euros. The high price that West Ham is asking for has two reasons: the first is that they paid 60 million euros to Lyon when they signed him. And the other reason is that Lyon still has 15 percent of a future sale, so they will not keep the entire transfer.

Will Manchester City pay 100 million for Lucas Paqueta?

Manchester City would have an agreement with Paquetá, but they still need to close with the London team. However, according to Santi Aouna, the hammer club also rejected a proposal of 100 million and hopes to receive a little more, to release it once and for all in the current transfer market. Negotiations will continue, and a million-dollar agreement is expected in the following days.
