Manchester City reigns Europe after an excellent season where they managed to stand out and achieve the coveted treble, the first in the history of the institution. Pep Guardiola managed to form an important team with elements such as Erling Haaland or Kevin De Bruyne as the outstanding pieces of the club.

In the case of Julian Alvarez, things are a bit different. The Argentine player arrived from River Plate and established himself in a great way, but he also had to deal with the signing of Erling Haaland, who quickly grabbed the spotlight and earned a place in the starting lineup, leaving the Argentine in the background.

The reality is that the Norwegian's signing has been a success. The striker finished as top scorer in the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and also had important performances in the FA Cup. Even so, Julian Alvarez had important minutes and was able to sneak in to finish with 18 goals in all competitions, although he was not a starting player. However, in the middle of the title celebration, the Argentine player receives the worst news of all.

What is the worst news that Julian Alvarez receives?

After winning the UEFA Champions League Haaland was asked about his feelings. "In my wildest dreams I would never have thought this at the age of 22. It's an incredible achievement for a kid from a small place in Norway. I also hope it serves as motivation for other kids like me," he said. However, when asked about his poor scoring record in recent games, he assured that he is only 22 years old and that this is just the beginning, implying that he has a lot to give to Manchester City. Thus, Julian will not have his starting place guaranteed in the near future.
