This year many footballers are making the decision not to continue with their careers, one of them was a former player who had a great time at Manchester City and now plays for another club. He is a talented defender who shone in Manchester City's youth team and who failed to shine in the first team. From there, the player went through some clubs, with Sheffield United being one of his most notable experiences.

He has captained Man City's youth team and was Oldham's Young Player of the Season in 2017/18, but has made just 66 senior appearances. Kean Bryan has revealed that he is hanging up his boots after a battle with a knee injury. He managed 13 appearances in Sheffield United's 2020/21 Premier League campaign. In an Instagram statement, he wrote: "Chapter 27. A year of new beginnings for me. I would like to announce my retirement from professional football. After two long years struggling with my knee injury, unfortunately, after medical advice, it is time to say goodbye to football.

«Just a boy who grew up on a council estate in Gorton with the dream of one day being a professional footballer and that dream came true. “Playing in the Premier League and representing some of the biggest clubs in England is something I will always cherish and be proud of.”

What else did Kean Bryan say?

«I want to thank everyone who helped me achieve my dream... my mother and my stepfather who are no longer with us, who drove all over the country to support me since I was 10 years old, I will always be grateful for everything you did for my. My two sisters and my little brother, who have always been my biggest fans. My fiancée, who has been a rock for me during such a difficult period in my life, I will never be able to repay you for the support you give me. And of course, my two children who have unknowingly made this difficult decision much easier. I love you both unconditionally. I look forward to the next chapter of my life. Thank you all for your support over the years. Peace and Love KB »
