The transfer market is starting to leave big surprises, especially in the Premier League. It is no secret that many players in England are starting to change teams and the Big 6 need to reinforce their squad to fight in the next season and try to break Manchester City's dominance. Now, it is surprising the decision of a player to reject a move to Liverpool FC and join Tottenham.

James Maddison has been one of the great talents of the English league in recent years. The player has established himself in a big way with Leicester City, but after the team's recent relegation, the English midfielder is already looking for a place in another team. According to MailSport, Liverpool were after the player's footsteps, but now, Fabrizio Romano drops the bombshell about the player's possible new destination.

According to Fabrizio Romano, James Maddison has chosen Tottenham Hotspur as his new destination. The player has already agreed personal terms with the club and negotiations with Leicester City are going as smoothly as possible. Therefore, it is expected that the club will confirm his arrival in the coming days once the agreement with the player is finalized.

How much would James Maddison cost Leicester City?

According to Transfermarkt, the player has a price tag close to €60 million. However, the player could end up arriving for a lower amount due to the fact that the club must sell him. Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has been extremely active in the deal and it is expected that a deal in the region of €40 million could be a done deal for the team.
