Manchester United could star in one of the most unexpected transfer robberies this summer. After one of their great rivals has spent time negotiating for this talent, the Red Devils enter the operation at the last moment and could end up taking the footballer.

Southampton have again rejected Liverpool in their attempt to sign Romeo Lavia. The young midfielder remains the object of desire for the Anfield team, but Southampton are unwilling to facilitate his transfer, and according to reports in The Athletic, the English club have turned down a second offer for the player.

This situation has been identified by Manchester United who are in need of a new midfielder. Given this, the club positions itself as a possible buyer of Lavia and intends to match what Southampton asks for its great star. According to Miguel Delaney of The Idependent, Manchester United could enter the race for Romeo Lavia.

How much is Southampton asking for Lavia?

According to The Athletic, the offer presented by Liverpool would have been 48 million euros, an amount significantly lower than the 58 million that Southampton is demanding for the transfer of Lavia, the Southampton board being determined to keep its promising midfield player.
