Manchester City is having a transfer window that is certainly not memorable. Pep Guardiola's team will have to deal with the departure of some important elements and now, the club is already receiving news of a player who could end up at Arsenal FC. It is a player who was formed in City's youth teams and now, after excelling at Southampton, could arrive at Arsenal.

Arsenal target Romeo Lavia would be an "exceptional signing" at the Emirates, says journalist Ryan Taylor. Lavia is 'admired' by Chelsea's recruitment team and could be the ideal complement to Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, although he won't come cheap.

How much would Lavia cost Arsenal FC?

As part of the £12.5 million deal for which he moved to the south coast, City included three fairly significant clauses, the first of which allows them to match any bids that come in for the player. However, The Athletic believes Liverpool are a more likely destination for Romeo Lavia this summer, but the Reds will be forced to pay a considerable sum. However, amid that speculation, Taylor has claimed that he would be a brilliant signing. He said, "I think Lavia is an exceptional talent. Ultimately, if Mikel Arteta believes that is the right way forward, then I think he has shown he should be trusted.
