Valentin Barco is one of the most exciting talents in Argentine soccer. The Boca Juniors footballer has stood out at a very young age and it was enough for clubs like Manchester City, among others, to become interested in signing him for the following season. Now, the team could reach the current winner of the UEFA Champions League in an important way.

The English team will send scouts to Argentina in the coming days to find out the conditions that Boca requests for Barco. The initial plan is to close the operation for the summer market, so the player would remain in the ranks of the Ribera team until June 2024.

Pep Guardiola plans to sign Valentin Barco for Manchester City and send him on loan to Leicester City. Manchester City are closing on a deal for the Boca Juniors defender, who has a fixed fee of around £10M with extra costs taking a transfer up to £13M. Barco has one goal and four assists in his 31 games this season

Will they give up Valentin Barco?

The current UEFA Champions League champions project a great future for the footballer, but Guardiola has a plan to take him slowly with the aim of adding football experience to the club of an old acquaintance: "The coach's idea is to loan him to Leicester" . The coach of the Foxes is his former assistant, Enzo Maresca, who left his wing in the middle of 2023 to be the driver of the team relegated to the second division of English football during the 2022/23 season. In his second experience as manager of a First Division team, Maresca manages the destinies of the Championship leader with 42 points in 17 appearances
